University of Otago Master’s Scholarship Benefits

    Open to domestic and international students. Applicants must be enrolling full-time in a coursework-based master’s degree. Exclusions:

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) is not eligible.
  • The research component (if any) must be less than 90 points.
  • Not available for the first year of a two-year research master’s.
  • Previous coursework master’s recipients at Otago are not eligible.
  • Part-time study is not usually permitted, with exceptions granted by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Enterprise).

  • How to Apply for the University of Otago Master’s Scholarship 2025?

    Applicants for the University of Otago Master’s Scholarship 2025 must provide the following documents:

  • Completed Scholarship Application Form
  • Academic Transcripts showcasing previous academic performance
  • Copy of Bachelor’s Degree Diploma or an official pre-graduation certificate if the degree is not yet completed
  • Two Recommendation Letters from academic referees
  • Personal Statement detailing:
  • Reason for applying
  • Knowledge of the University of Otago
  • Academic potential and future study plan in New Zealand
  • Proof of English Proficiency:
    •    IELTS (6.5 or above) or TOEFL (90 or above)
    •    Duolingo Test results may be considered
  • Current Medical Certificate
  • List of Published Articles in scientific or professional journals, if available
  • Copy of Passport Front Page
  • Non-Criminal Record Certificate
